What are the benefits of a PoS Drop Safe?

The PoS drop safes allow notes and other payment media to be stored securly at the point of sale, reducing the quantity of cash held in the till and the security of the cash at PoS without having to return to a cash office during opening hours.

Can notes be removed from the safe without opening it?

The only way to quickly and easily remove notes without tearing them is to open the safe. The safes are designed to make it almost impossible to 'fish' notes out of the top. Our trials suggest that it would take an accomplished thief over half an hour of continuous effort to extract one note.

Is the internal casing of the safe secure?

The TSR100 model can be released from the counter using a key and taken to the back office locked. The other PoS safe models have fabric pouches inside that can be closed and labelled but not locked.

Key lock or electronic?

The traditional key safe is both simple and secure but does not allow for the advanced options of time delay opening and multiple pin numbers that the electronic safe does. The multiple pin number option allows each cashier to have their own pin number with only one pin number being active at any point in time. The supervisor pin number acts as an overide and will open the safe independent of which cashier is currently active.

What happens if I lose the pin/key?

Master codes are provided to enable the purchase of duplicate keys or an override to the pin number.

Are the safes easy to fit?

The safes are provided with a full mounting kit and can be secured at the top or the bottom, depending on how your point of sale is laid out. Full instructions are provided and two fitters should be able to mount the safe in about ten minutes.
